We often talk about how clothes can change the way we look. But what about the way we feel?

Episode two of The Wearapy Show follows Emma, an art teacher and mother of a young daughter, as she embarks on a journey to reconnect with her identity through style. Since becoming a mum, Emma has struggled with the loss of her bold, confident aesthetic. Her wardrobe, once full of colour, structure and sparkle, had faded into function: jeans, Converse, practicality.

“I dress my daughter how I used to dress,” she confessed in our first session. “And somewhere along the way, I stopped dressing like me.”

This episode explores what happens when identity, motherhood, and style intersect. Together, we explored how fashion psychology can help bridge the gap between who you are and how you show up. From navigating body confidence after hair loss to pushing back on outdated messages about dressing “appropriately” as you get older, Emma bravely opened up about what it means to feel seen again.

We were also joined by celebrity stylist and author Jennifer Michalski-Bray, who brought her trademark mix of expertise, humour and heart — and the real-life perspective of a mum of two. Jennifer busted her “5 Mum Dressing Myths” wide open: that practicality should always come first, that comfort means sacrificing style, that mums should stick to neutrals and play it safe, that trends are off-limits, and that our clothes should somehow cater to everyone else’s needs before our own.

With her down-to-earth advice and fearless approach to fashion, Jennifer showed how mums can have it all – boldness, comfort and confidence – without compromise. By the end of the session, Emma didn’t just have new outfits; she had a whole new outlook.
