If you’ve ever struggled with your self-image after a big life change — whether it’s loss, weight fluctuation, or just a chapter closing — you’ll see yourself in Emmy.

In Episode 1 of The Wearapy Show, we met Emmy: a vibrant, witty woman with a magnetic personality and a bold sense of style that dimmed after the loss of her father in 2018. Her grief, layered with a recent health journey and weight loss, left her navigating unfamiliar terrain — in her body, her mindset, and her wardrobe.

What emerged during our Style Therapy conversation was deeply emotional. Emmy spoke candidly about how her body changed after grief, and how hard it has been to stop feeling “embarrassing.” Despite being the person who always dressed to express herself, she no longer knew how to dress for herself. It was a conversation rooted in self-acceptance, identity, and the power of clothes to mark emotional turning points.

That’s where we brought in the incredible Katie Weir — lingerie expert and Bra Whisperer™. Katie fitted Emmy in the right bra size (spoiler: it wasn’t what Emmy thought it was), completely transforming her shape. Suddenly, Emmy could see her waist again. Her confidence lifted instantly.

Then came the makeover.

We selected looks that celebrated her curves, featured intentional structure, and helped her reconnect with her vibrant, expressive energy — not by hiding her body, but by honouring it. Emmy was so in love with one of the final looks that she literally left the studio wearing it.

This episode is a reminder that style can be a bridge — from grief to joy, from shame to confidence, from disconnection to rediscovery.

She's back!
